Who haven’t ever dreamt of a rest in France – the country of the refined castles, the culinary masterpieces and the haute-couture? Maybe the biggest sight in France is Eiffel Tower, built after the project of Gustave Eiffel in 1889 and recently become a symbol of Paris.

Paris itself rests for many years an unbeaten leader in the list of cities that are preferred by the tourists. Together with its suburbs (Versailles, Saint-Denis, Ivry etc.) it forms a so-called Big Paris with its 10 millions of inhabitants. The main touristic part of the city is situated on the right bank of the river Seine: the Louvre (the former king’s residence and now on of the richest museums in the world), the Stock, the Temple, the Arch of Triumph, the Champs-Elysees avenue and also the governmental establishments. On the left bank are the University and the bohemian quarters, for example the famous Latin quarter.

One of the biggest centers of the winter sport, the French Alps are the highest mountains in the Western Europe. The most popular mountain ski resorts here are Shamony and Courchevelle.

The sea coasts extending on 3120 km include the rocks of Bretagne, the long ridges of dunes on the Atlantic side, the marvelous sand beaches and the bays of the Mediterranean sea. The South-East coast of France is called Azure Coast. Here there are two touristic centers – Nice and Cannes.

One of the most attractive places for the tourists of all age is European Disneyland. It’s situated 32 km to the east from Paris and occupies an area 15 times greater than the area of the capital itself.

The sea climate is temperate, in the east from transitional to continental: on the Mediterranean coast it snows rarely. The average January temperature is 1-10 C, in July – 16-24 C.

France is widely known as a trendsetter. That’s why the tourists who come to France not only come to know its museums and parks, but make shopping. The most profitable shopping times are the sales periods.

Sales or as they are called in France “Soldes”, take place two times a year – in January and in June-July and last for 4-6 weeks. And it’s not just discounts here. Small boutiques and big shops hurry up to free place for the new arrivals totally destocking. The percents of discounts begin with 30-50% in the beginning of the “Soldes” and reach 80% in its end.

Winter sales – from 9th January till the 16th February.

Un des plus grands centres de sport d’hiver au monde – les Alpes Françaises sont les plus hautes montagnes en Europe de l’Ouest. Les stations des skis très populaires ici ce sont Chamonix et Courchevel.

Les côtes de la mer étendues pour 3120 Km, comprennent des roches de la Bretagne, des longues chaînes des dunes du coté de l’océan Atlantique, des plage de sable merveilleuses et des baies de la mer Méditerranée. La côte sud-est de la France est appelée la Côte d’Azur. Ici les centres touristiques sont Nice et Cannes.

Les Soldes ont lieu deux fois par an – en Janvier et en Juin Juillet et durent quatre à six semaines. Et ce ne sont pas simplement des réductions. Les petites boutiques aussi que les grands magasins se dépêchent de vider des places pour les nouvelles collections en faisant un déstockage complet. Les réductions commencent par 30-50% au début des soldes et vers la fin atteignent 80%.
